    The Canada-China Scholars’ Exchange Program (CCSEP) 2026-2027 is a fully funded bilateral scholarship designed to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Canada and China. Established in 1973, this long-running program allows eligible Canadian students, researchers, and professionals to pursue studies, research, or Chinese language training at recognized institutions in China.

    The program is jointly supported by Global Affairs Canada and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and aims to develop future leaders with deep expertise in China-related fields.

    Requirements

    • Canadian citizenship
    • Clear academic or research focus related to China
    • Confirmed availability for the 2026–2027 academic year
    • Language proficiency in English, French, or Chinese
    • HSK Level 3 for undergraduate studies (if taught in Chinese)
    • HSK Level 4 for graduate studies (if taught in Chinese)

    How to Apply

    1. Apply through the My EduCanada portal before January 12, 2026
    2. Submit a separate application on the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) portal before March 1, 2026
    3. Select an eligible Chinese host institution listed on the Campus China platform
    4. Prepare a strong study or research proposal with a clear China focus
