Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate full-stack AI products, including user interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
• Build and optimize single and multi-step agents with tools, state, memory, and human checkpoints.
• Design and implement reliable agent execution workflows with durable state and failure recovery mechanisms.
• Develop retrieval and knowledge pipelines, prepare data, and design knowledge stores with appropriate controls.
• Design, build, and deploy AI applications on cloud platforms like AWS, integrating with enterprise systems.
• Apply secure engineering practices and design for AI safety, including permission boundaries and handling of untrusted content.
• Build evaluation and regression-testing practices, monitor quality, latency, and cost, and support products in production.
• Collaborate with AI Product Owners and translate product objectives into technical decisions, explaining trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Use AI coding tools productively, contribute reusable components, and mentor others as experience grows.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated software engineering experience through employment, independent projects, coursework, or open-source contributions.
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript, including readable code, debugging, source control, and automated testing.
• Evidence of building working LLM-powered applications or agents, using tools or APIs, retrieval, or prompt and context design.
• Ability to develop software components and integrate with APIs, with a willingness to grow across user interfaces, backend services, and full-stack delivery.
• Foundational data skills, including SQL and working with structured or unstructured information.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including deploying applications and managing cloud services.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, networking, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• A security-first mindset and awareness of AI-specific risks.
• Understanding of software testing and agent output evaluation.
• Product curiosity and the ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
