Cluster Carpenter

Minor Hotels is seeking a qualified Cluster Carpenter to join their team at Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role involves fabricating and installing wooden and other structures according to specifications, ensuring functional infrastructure and products.

Key Responsibilities

• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings.
• Lay out flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring they are level and compatible.
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Carpenter.
• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
