Jubran Coffee is seeking a skilled and passionate Coffee Roaster to join its growing team in Baghdad, Iraq. The role involves roasting premium-quality coffee, ensuring consistency across every batch, and contributing to the expansion of Iraq’s specialty coffee industry.

Job Responsibilities

Roast coffee according to company standards and profiles

Conduct cupping sessions and quality control checks to ensure flavor consistency

Collaborate with the sourcing team to evaluate and recommend green coffee purchases

Maintain roasting logs and traceability records

Oversee maintenance schedules for roasting machines and equipment

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the roastery

Support product development and new coffee offerings

Requirements

• Previous experience as a coffee roaster (specialty coffee experience preferred)
• Knowledge of roasting curves, profiles, and sensory evaluation
• Familiarity with cupping protocols and quality control methods
• Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and record-keeping
• Passion for coffee and commitment to excellence
• Effective teamwork and communication skills
