Field Planner

Job Overview

KBR is seeking an experienced Field Planner to join the Majnoon Project in Basra, Iraq. This is a rotational role (28/28), where the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress measurement to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare project schedules, bar charts, histograms, and reports for execution phases
• Develop baseline programs and planning packages for EPC projects
• Monitor and report project progress (weekly, monthly, or as required)
• Prepare and maintain risk registers, analyzing risks and opportunities
• Support in the preparation of Project Controls Plans and Planning Procedures
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and senior staff for progress tracking
• Interpret and ensure compliance with contract terms and productivity norms
• Work independently with minimal supervision to meet project goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
• 5–8 years of relevant experience (including at least 3 years on EPC projects)
• 2–3 years of experience in engineering projects desirable
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office
• Strong understanding of engineering logic for Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
