Key Responsibilities

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines across batch and real-time workloads using AI-assisted development.
• Implement automated data quality checks and anomaly detection into every pipeline.
• Identify and resolve data issues before they surface to analysts or stakeholders.
• Optimise warehouse performance and cost, including query efficiency, partitioning, and orchestration reliability.
• Build data models designed to scale beyond the immediate use case.
• Partner with analysts, product, finance, and compliance teams to translate requirements into reliable, governed data products.

Requirements

• 2-8 years in data engineering, with a focus on building reliable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in cloud data stacks such as GCP, BigQuery, Airflow, and Python.
• Experience with transformation tools like dbt or Dataform and understanding of transformation layers.
• Knowledge of data modelling techniques (e.g., Kimball star schema, Data Vault, Medallion architecture).
• Experience in a fintech, trading, or compliance-heavy background is a strong plus.
• Ability to trace problems to their source and fix them systematically.
