Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the overall engineering strategy, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and product roadmaps.
• Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and secure software systems across multiple teams and projects.
• Lead architectural and technical decisions for complex software systems, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and translate them into actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with product management, UX, DevOps, security, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for engineering managers, team leads, and individual contributors.
• Oversee performance monitoring, system reliability, and operational excellence, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated across software systems, including data protection, authentication, and access control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership or management roles.
• Proven experience leading large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong technical expertise across software architecture, system design, and development practices.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Familiarity with modern software development methodologies, DevOps practices, and security/compliance standards.
• Arabic Speaker Required.
