Wave Mobile Money is seeking a Head of Operations to oversee their operations in Senegal, focusing on achieving operational excellence. This leadership role is crucial for building a high-quality agent network with lower operating costs.

Wave Mobile Money is dedicated to making Africa the first cashless continent by providing accessible financial services. They have millions of users across 9 countries and are rapidly expanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations in Senegal, identifying and resolving growth-blocking problems.
• Work with the Executive Team to determine key objectives and operationalize strategies.
• Provide direct management of key functional managers within the business.
• Own key projects for Wave Senegal, including strategy development and execution.
• Lead by living Wave's values and ensuring they are ingrained within the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in mobile money, finance, fintech, telecoms, or technology sectors as a senior leader or executive managing cross-functional teams.
• 8+ years of experience building and leading strong teams to achieve results.
• Track record in managing stakeholders through strategic reporting for external partners.
• Strong track record in building country-level and multi-country partnerships in Africa.
• Work authorization in Senegal.
• Fluency in English and, ideally, in a local language.
