Solutions Architect - MENA

GitLab is seeking a Solutions Architect for its MENA team. You will act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, demonstrating how GitLab's DevSecOps platform meets their technical and business needs throughout the software development lifecycle. You will guide organizations through digital transformations, leveraging your technical expertise, understanding of modern software development, and customer empathy.

Reporting to a regional Solutions Architect manager, you will partner with Account Executives and cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities include owning technical evaluations, shaping solution architectures, and representing the customer's voice to Product Management. The role focuses on driving platform adoption, influencing revenue growth through solution selling, and building lasting relationships in an AI-driven DevSecOps landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to showcase GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
• Drive the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV ownership, and workshop design.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape account strategies.
• Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders.
• Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices.
• Serve as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
• Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar customer-facing roles.
• Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
• Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related technologies.
• Ability to lead technical evaluations like proofs of concept and design/run workshops.
• Clear technical communication and presentation skills, adaptable for various audiences.
• Skill in building trusted relationships, listening with empathy, and acting as a customer advocate.
• Motivation for continuous professional development and learning new technologies.
