Pairs is seeking a Venture Capital Associate to join their remote team. This role focuses on growing and managing relationships with investors who directly invest in private companies. You will be instrumental in connecting exceptional founders with the right investors through a private capital network.

Key Responsibilities

• Grow and manage relationships with investors who invest directly in private companies.
• Understand each investor's specific investment criteria (stage, check size, sector).
• Introduce investors to relevant opportunities that fit their criteria.
• Open new investor relationships every month through direct outreach, referrals, and deliberate engagement.
• Stay useful to investors between opportunities to ensure continued engagement.

Requirements

• Proven ability to build investor relationships personally and explain the process of their cultivation.
• Experience taking at least one investor from initial conversation to a direct investment in a private round.
• Understanding of investor preferences, including stage, check size, sector, and reasons for declining deals.
• High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using AI tools daily, with sound judgment on their application.
