Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, design, and execution of health programs in Tanzania.
  • Oversee program implementation, ensuring alignment with CHAI’s mission and goals.
  • Manage and mentor program teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government partners, donors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor program budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation and financial oversight.
  • Contribute to identifying new program opportunities and support resource mobilization efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, International Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in program management, preferably in global health or non-profit sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of impact.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in strategic planning and M&E.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings and complex, fast-paced environments.
