The Bar Manager will manage the assigned bar outlet as a successful independent profit center, in line with the outlet’s operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Train servers and new bartenders on proper bar procedures, new spirits and cocktails.
• Craft and create seasonal cocktail menus, and meet specific deadlines.
• Perform monthly inventories of liquor, beer, wine, and supplies, implementing and maintaining controls for accurate inventory accountability.
• Proactively exercise good judgment, creatively problem-solve, and anticipate guest needs with attention to detail and focus on quality and service.
• Demonstrate a true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Requirements

• Ideally with a relevant degree, or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Bar Manager or Assistant Bar Manager in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
• Prior 5* international hotel hospitality (similar to Hyatt) and/or luxury standalone restaurant experience is essential.
• Advanced knowledge of bar operations.
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in general computer knowledge, including a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• Strong food and beverage knowledge including modern bar and drink trends, wine, spirits, beers and cocktails.
• Local language proficiency is preferred.
