Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the comprehensive human resources strategy for the entire Queensland Government.
  • Oversee all HR operations, policies, and programs for a vast and diverse workforce across 4000+ locations.
  • Develop and implement innovative HR solutions to attract, retain, and develop talent.
  • Advise senior leadership on critical HR matters, including industrial relations, organizational design, and change management.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior human resources leadership roles, preferably within large, complex public sector organizations.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic HR initiatives and managing diverse portfolios.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep understanding of public sector HR principles, industrial relations frameworks, and legislative requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively and strategically in a dynamic and politically sensitive government environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
