Job Overview
Digital Brain, a pioneering AI company transforming urban mobility and traffic management in Malta, is looking for a Data Scientist to join its innovative Digital Brain Team. In this role, you will work with diverse datasets, build intelligent models, and design predictive solutions that shape the future of smart cities.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale datasets from traffic, parking, and mobility systems to generate insights.
- Build and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics and pattern recognition.
- Develop data pipelines and automated workflows for real-time analysis.
- Create statistical models to optimize traffic flow and parking allocation.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate solutions into production systems.
- Design and execute A/B tests to measure model performance and business outcomes.
- Present insights through data visualization and reports for stakeholders.
- Research and apply cutting-edge AI/ML methods for smart city applications.
- Translate client requirements into actionable data science solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Data Science or analytics roles.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and major data science libraries.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and model evaluation.
- Solid foundation in statistics, probability, and experimental design.
- Strong data preprocessing, feature engineering, and visualization skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Knowledge of time series analysis, GIS/geospatial data, or IoT sensor data.
- Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with MLOps and model deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of traffic engineering or urban mobility systems.
- Exposure to real-time analytics and computer vision applications.
