Key Responsibilities

• Review Engineering documents prepared at Remote Engineering offices and assign for translation and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors for construction work and resolve construction issues.
• Coordinate with clients for drawing approvals for construction activities.
• Ensure timely delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents aligned with the Project Schedule.
• Incorporate spatial requirements and details from other leads into relevant Drawings.
• Review primary drawings, design, and sizing calculations of primary electrical equipment.
• Review Vendor deliverables pertaining to Primary Engineering.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks.
• Provide support and clarifications to the Site Execution team.
• Check pre-award evaluation of vendors and forward validation documents.
• Inspect equipment from finalized vendors.
• Clarify design and client requirements to the Site Execution Team.
• Collect inputs for project details from clients and Project Engineering Managers.
• Coordinate with Operations team for design specifications approval.
• Check deliverables prepared by the Engineering office for construction suitability.
• Provide support to the secondary team for reviewing Vendor drawings.
• Submit man-hour requirements for design and drawing review.

Requirements

• Overall knowledge of equipment layouts and necessary calculations.
• Detailed knowledge of Substation equipment and their Layouts.
• Understanding of primary engineering activities including SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing.
• Capability to perform design & sizing calculations for Busbar, UPS, DG, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor, etc.
• Knowledge of National and International Codes and Standards.
• Understanding and interpretation of contractual technical requirements.
• Overall understanding of inter-disciplinary (Civil & Structural, Mechanical and Instrumentation) design aspects of electrical equipment.
• General awareness of Dialux, MS Office.
• Desirable awareness of ETAP, PSCAD & CYMGRD.
