Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on hospital facilities, equipment, and building systems.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, ensuring all areas are safe and operational.
  • Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other general repair tasks as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in strict compliance with health and safety regulations and hospital standards.
  • Respond efficiently to maintenance requests from staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and keep accurate inventory of tools and supplies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within a healthcare or institutional setting.
  • Proficiency in various trades including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repairs.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple maintenance projects effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients professionally.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity required for performing manual tasks and lifting heavy objects.
