Key Responsibilities

• Participate in audit plan development and continuous updates.
• Lead and execute IT audits across Old Mutual Uganda and provide support to other East Africa Group entities.
• Provide independent assurance over significant technology risks and evaluate governance, risk management, and control processes.
• Deliver IT audit and advisory assignments on time according to the Group Internal Audit (GIA) methodology.
• Interact with and provide IT audit assurance to Audit and Risk Committees.
• Understand the risk profile of businesses and apply extensive industry knowledge.
• Provide IT expertise and support to financial and operational audit teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree with a focus in IT, data science or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CEH, CIA and CPA, or any other relevant certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of seven years IT audit experience within the internal audit function and / or external audit function.
• Experience in the financial services industry is an added advantage.
• Proficient in use of data analytics tools, and knowledge of continuous auditing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including effective report writing ability.
• Proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
