Junior Data Scientist

Job Overview

Interdiscount, part of the Coop Group, is one of Switzerland’s leading online home electronics retailers. We’re looking for a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our Marketing Analytics team in Berne. In this role, you’ll be a driving force in optimizing campaigns and customer journeys while working on digital and marketing analytics projects that shape the future of our e-commerce presence.

Job Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and interpretation of digital and marketing analytics.
• Conduct A/B testing and apply statistical methods to optimize performance.
• Build independent reporting and tracking solutions, from needs analysis to training.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to coordinate requirements and implementation.
• Conduct trainings and workshops, sharing analytics expertise with colleagues.
• Act as a role model for data-driven decision-making across the business.

Requirements

• Completed education and initial experience in online marketing or retail analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics 360, Tealium).
• Strong interest in analytics & tracking (Tealium, JavaScript).
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent German communication skills; good understanding of English.
• Structured, organized working style with high learning motivation.
