Key Responsibilities

• Lead complete MAS 9 implementations, including infrastructure discovery, architecture, installation, configuration, testing, go-live, and handover.
• Design and build secure, resilient MAS 9 environments on Red Hat OpenShift across various cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS) and on-premises deployments.
• Deploy core MAS, Maximo Manage, and relevant industry solutions and add-ons.
• Plan and execute upgrades and migrations from legacy Maximo or earlier MAS releases.
• Engineer for reliable operations, including high availability, backup, restoration, and disaster recovery using Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring.
• Automate delivery using IBM MAS CLI, Ansible, Terraform, and OpenShift Pipelines/Tekton.
• Lead technical workshops, explain design decisions, manage infrastructure dependencies, and produce clear architecture documents and runbooks.
• Contribute to MaxAccelerate AI by working with AI and data specialists on secure hosting, connectivity, and integration.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, mentor engineers, and share practical lessons across international projects.

Requirements

• Proven full end-to-end MAS 9 installation experience, including leading or delivering complete production implementations.
• Delivery experience across multiple industry verticals (e.g., energy, utilities, manufacturing, aviation, oil and gas).
• Strong Red Hat OpenShift expertise, including hands-on experience with oc CLI, operators, containers, and platform troubleshooting.
• Enterprise infrastructure knowledge, including strong Linux skills and experience with DNS, load balancing, TLS, and identity integration.
• Experience designing and delivering Maximo/MAS infrastructure across IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Db2, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server for Maximo Manage.
• Experience deploying, configuring, securing, and monitoring Apache Kafka for Maximo integrations.
• Production delivery discipline, including compatibility checks, upgrades, performance tuning, and recovery testing.
• Confident client communication skills for leading technical discussions and collaborating with various teams.
• Effective remote working ability, managing priorities and time-zone overlap for international delivery.
• Strong MAS automation and OpenShift skills (IBM MAS CLI, Ansible, OpenShift Pipelines/Tekton).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Bash or Python).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Experience with container tooling (OpenShift oc, Podman, Docker) and image registries.
