Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with ReliefWeb’s mission.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, including individuals, foundations, and government entities.
- Identify new funding opportunities and prepare compelling proposals and reports.
- Manage donor communication, ensuring timely updates and recognition of contributions.
- Monitor fundraising performance against targets and adapt strategies as needed.
- Represent ReliefWeb at external events and networking opportunities to promote its work.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising and donor management, preferably within the humanitarian or NGO sector.
- Proven track record of securing significant funding from diverse donor bases.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and global crises.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team in a challenging environment.
