Team Lead, Investor Relations

Pairs is seeking a Team Lead for Investor Relations to join their fully remote team. This role involves leading a team of five associates and directly reporting to the founders, focusing on building the best investor relations team in venture capital.

Pairs is a vetted private capital network that connects founders with family offices, VCs, and strategic investors, managing the investor relations work around each introduction. They are compensated by the founder, not the round, and investors are members who pay nothing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of five associates, ensuring their professional growth and development.
• Oversee daily team operations, including setting priorities, targets, and providing support.
• Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with each associate, offering coaching and honest feedback.
• Represent the company in senior-level mandate calls with investors.
• Ensure the highest standard for all investor introductions and pitches.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading a team of approximately five people, with a track record of making them better.
• Background in investment side roles (family office, VC, growth fund, investment bank) or capital raising for private companies.
• Deep understanding of how family offices make decisions and what prompts them to take founder calls.
• Strong ability to demonstrate skills and run calls effectively.
• Experience in providing timely and kind, yet firm, feedback.
