Marshall Islands, officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), is an island nation located in the central Pacific Ocean, near the equator. It consists of 29 coral atolls and 5 individual islands, forming over 1,100 islands and islets. The country lies roughly halfway between Hawaii and Australia. The capital city is Majuro.

The Marshall Islands is known for its pristine beaches, diving sites, and World War II shipwrecks. The nation is part of the Micronesia region and has a Compact of Free Association with the United States, allowing Marshallese citizens to live and work in the U.S. and receive U.S. defense and economic support.

The official languages are Marshallese and English. The currency is the United States Dollar (USD). The islands face challenges such as rising sea levels due to climate change, but remain culturally rich and resilient, with traditions deeply rooted in the sea.
