About the Role
Unlock your best work life and make a real difference in healthcare delivery. Practice Plus Group is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join our dedicated team at HMP Stocken, a Category C men’s prison in Oakham.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you’ll support the provision of essential pharmacy services, helping to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient supply of medicines to patients.
Working Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 07:30 – 17:30
- Weekends & Bank Holidays: 08:30 – 17:30
Salary: Up to £28,690 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, dispensing, and supply of prescribed medications.
- Support the Prison Pharmacy team in daily operations.
- Maintain accurate stock records and manage inventory.
- Uphold compliance with security, safety, and professional standards.
- Provide support and guidance to patients under supervision of registered pharmacists.
Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK (mandatory).
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in healthcare support roles (preferred).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pharmacy Services, or willingness to complete.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and secure environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care.
