Dominica, officially known as the Commonwealth of Dominica, is a lush, mountainous island nation in the Caribbean, located between Guadeloupe to the north and Martinique to the south. The capital and largest city is Roseau.

Known as the “Nature Island of the Caribbean,” Dominica is celebrated for its volcanic peaks, tropical rainforests, and the world’s second-largest boiling lake. The island is a haven for eco-tourism, diving, and hiking. Its economy depends on agriculture, tourism, and offshore services, while it continues to promote green and sustainable development.

English is the official language, though Antillean Creole (Kwéyòl) is widely spoken. The official currency is the East Caribbean Dollar (XCD), and Dominica is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
