Job Overview
Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a 75-room luxury resort located on Barbados’ iconic Platinum Coast, is seeking a Seasonal Waiter to join its world-class hospitality team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive professional, efficient, and memorable dining experiences in alignment with Fairmont’s global standards of luxury service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, professional, and engaging service to all guests in the restaurant and hotel outlets.
- Maintain complete knowledge of the menu, including prices, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen details.
- Prepare mise en place before service, ensuring tables and side stations are properly set and stocked.
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately through the point of sale (POS) system.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area.
- Handle guest billing and payments accurately and courteously.
- Adhere to all Health, Hygiene, and Safety standards established by the hotel.
- Perform room service duties and assist with special events or functions as needed.
Requirements
- Secondary school education with a minimum of 3 CXC passes.
- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in an additional language (French, German, or Italian) is an asset.
- Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to work weekends, bank holidays, and in a dynamic team environment.
