Seasonal Waiter

Job Overview Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a 75-room luxury resort located on Barbados’ iconic Platinum Coast, is seeking a Seasonal Waiter to join its world-class hospitality team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive professional, efficient, and memorable dining experiences in alignment with Fairmont’s global standards of luxury service. Key Responsibilities

Deliver prompt, professional, and engaging service to all guests in the restaurant and hotel outlets. Maintain complete knowledge of the menu, including prices, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen details. Prepare mise en place before service, ensuring tables and side stations are properly set and stocked. Take and process food and beverage orders accurately through the point of sale (POS) system. Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area. Handle guest billing and payments accurately and courteously. Adhere to all Health, Hygiene, and Safety standards established by the hotel. Perform room service duties and assist with special events or functions as needed.

Requirements

Secondary school education with a minimum of 3 CXC passes. Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in an additional language (French, German, or Italian) is an asset. Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work weekends, bank holidays, and in a dynamic team environment.
