Cambodia, officially the Kingdom of Cambodia (Khmer: ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា), is a Southeast Asian nation located on the Indochinese Peninsula. It shares borders with Thailand to the west and northwest, Laos to the north, Vietnam to the east and southeast, and has a coastline along the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. The capital and largest city is Phnom Penh.

Cambodia is best known for the majestic Angkor Wat temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and symbol of Khmer civilization. Its economy is driven by tourism, textiles, agriculture, and construction. The nation’s culture reflects a fusion of ancient Hindu-Buddhist influences and vibrant contemporary traditions in music, dance, and art.

Khmer is the official language, and the Cambodian Riel (KHR) is the national currency (though US dollars are widely used). Buddhism is the state religion, practiced by about 95% of the population. Cambodia’s warm hospitality and historical richness make it a key destination in Southeast Asia.
