Comoros, officially the Union of the Comoros (French: Union des Comores; Arabic: الاتحاد القمري), is a small island nation located in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of Africa, between Mozambique and Madagascar. The country consists of three major islands — Grande Comore (Ngazidja), Anjouan (Ndzuwani), and Mohéli (Mwali) — along with numerous smaller islands. The capital and largest city is Moroni.

Comoros is known for its blend of African, Arab, and French cultural influences. Its economy relies on agriculture, fishing, and remittances, with key exports including vanilla, cloves, and ylang-ylang. Despite being one of the smallest countries in Africa, Comoros is famous for its scenic volcanic islands and coral reefs.

The official languages are Comorian (Shikomori), Arabic, and French. The national currency is the Comorian franc (KMF), and Islam is the predominant religion. Comoros is a member of the Arab League, African Union, and Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.
