Central African Republic, officially the Central African Republic (CAR) (French: République centrafricaine), is a landlocked nation located in the heart of Africa. It shares borders with Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the east, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of the Congo to the south, and Cameroon to the west. The capital and largest city is Bangui.

The Central African Republic is rich in natural resources such as diamonds, gold, uranium, and timber, but it remains one of the world’s least developed countries due to historical instability and limited infrastructure. Its landscapes include tropical forests, savannas, and rivers like the Ubangi and Sangha.

The country is known for its cultural diversity, with more than 80 ethnic groups and several languages. French and Sango are the official languages. The national currency is the Central African CFA franc (XAF), and the population primarily practices Christianity and Islam.
