Namibia is a country in Southern Africa, bordered by Angola to the north, Zambia and Zimbabwe to the northeast, Botswana to the east, and South Africa to the south. It has a long coastline along the Atlantic Ocean to the west. The capital and largest city is Windhoek.

Namibia is renowned for its dramatic desert landscapes, including the vast Namib Desert and the towering sand dunes of Sossusvlei. The country features some of Africa’s most breathtaking scenery, from the rugged Skeleton Coast to Etosha National Park’s wildlife-filled salt pans.

Rich in natural resources like uranium, diamonds, and copper, Namibia’s economy is driven by mining, agriculture, tourism, and fishing. With a relatively small population and strong environmental conservation policies, it is one of Africa’s leaders in sustainable tourism and wildlife protection.

Namibia was the first country in the world to include environmental protection in its constitution and continues to play a key role in transboundary conservation through initiatives like the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area.
