United States Overview

The United States of America (USA) is a vast and diverse nation in North America, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Its capital is Washington, D.C., and its largest city is New York City.

The United States declared independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776, following the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia.
